Vanta Admin Theme

I built Vanta Admin because Django's stock admin is useful, but it can feel a little plain when you work in it every day. The Vanta theme keeps Django's server-rendered admin, models, and permissions in place, then gives the shell, navigation, forms, tables, messages, and responsive behavior a more considered visual system.

Adding it to an existing project is easy. Vanta Admin is a standalone Django app, so it takes a settings change rather than a new frontend stack. The CSS uses shared design tokens, while a small amount of vanilla JavaScript handles browser-owned preferences such as sidebar state, theme choice, and mobile navigation. Project-specific data and demo models stay in the project that owns them.

A deliberate compatibility boundary

The same templates work with Python 3.12 and 3.13, and Django 6.0 and 6.1. A small template tag handles the CSP difference between the Django versions.
